Meet George & Christine
Like most families in the Midwest, the Murchisons knew one thing for certain when the summer heat rolls in, you’ll do just about anything to avoid turning on the oven. But what happens when that pizza craving hits? You fire up… the grill.
Yes, the grill. That’s exactly what George Murchison decided to try. After plenty of flour-dusted experiments in search of the perfect dough, he finally nailed the recipe. Then came the taste tests some delicious, others… let’s just call them “learning experiences.”
Before long, pizza night became a staple at the Murchison home. Friends and coworkers began to hear about George and his wife Christine’s unique, mouthwatering flavor combinations. Requests started pouring in, and well you know how the saying goes: the rest is history.
Today, the Murchisons work their magic using a trailer-mounted 48” wood-fired pizza oven instead of the backyard grill. But the heart of the process and the flavor remains the same.
What started as a simple Friday night family tradition has grown into a small, family-owned pizza business. And we can’t wait for you to take that first bite and say, “Oh My George! That’s good pizza!”
The Next Generation
Hey there! We’re Sky Gervais and Alex Murchison, the new faces behind O.M.G Pizza. We’re keeping the fire burning (literally) and carrying on the family tradition after Alex’s parents passed us the pizza peel.
Sky grew up in Arkansas City, KS and is proud to be part of the Muscogee Tribe. She’s all about community, good food, and making people smile over a hot slice.
Alex has been in Clay Center since his teen years, but before that, he lived in Germany thanks to his dad’s military service. Clay Center quickly became home, and now he’s excited to keep sharing pizza with the people who’ve supported his family from the start.
Together, we’re bringing our roots, our energy, and a whole lot of love for wood-fired pizza to every event we roll up to. Our dough’s always fresh, our fire’s always hot, and our goal’s always the same: to make you say, “O.M.G That’s Good Pizza!”
